The Invercargill mayor has done it again - Tim Shadbolt is back on his scooter.
The country's longest-standing mayor joined in at the local Christmas parade dressed to the nines in his mayoral gown and livery collar.
Normally he would ride in a council car, but today he rode his scooter.
The wet weather provided a few obstacles, as he almost lost traction on the road a couple of times.
On Thursday a video of Mr Shadbolt riding a scooter to the shops in his suit went viral.
Mr Shadbolt said he wished people found his other videos as entertaining.
"All that work during the elections trying to explain council finances and economic development and policy changes, we would get 100 hits if we were lucky. You go to the dairy to buy some milk and you get three quarters of a million," he said.
He said he originally bought the scooter to try and keep up with his young son around town.
