Visitors to one of New Zealand's tourist hubs were left in awe last night after an impassioned flash mob haka.
Students from Rotorua Boys' High School appeared from out of nowhere at Thursday's night market to deliver the powerful performance.
Video shows crowds gathering around the impassioned students, many with their phones out.
The video was streamed live to Facebook and Youtube and has gathered of thousands of views.
It came in anticipation of next month's Guinness World Record attempt for the largest haka, which will be held in Rotorua.
It'll be no easy feat - they'll need more than 6,200 people to perform the famous Ka Mate to break the record, which is equivalent to 10 percent of the town.
The International Rugby Club, who organised the attempt, is encouraging people to post their haka practise videos on the Giant Haka Facebook Page.
"Staging it before the Rotorua game where the MÄori All Blacks will face off against The British and Irish Lions just couldn't be a better setting", the club's co-founder Tony Molloy says.
They're encouraging anyone to come along and take part, regardless of their background.
The official record currently stands at 4,028 participants, let in France in 2014. Last year 6,200 people performed a haka in Masterton but their attempt is yet to be officially approved.
