Eden Park streaker starts Givealittle to pay fine

The streaker at Saturday night's Lions test at Eden Park has started a Givealittle page to pay off his fine.

The man charged across the field at the end of the match, waving his shirt above his head, before security tackled him to the ground.

The page, named Support the Run, features a photo of the streaker's abandoned pants and has already raised more than $250 of the $5000 goal.

"The support on the night was fantastic but it is needed now more than ever - A hefty fine is likely to come," the donations page says.

"Just think - if you were happy to pay $400 for 80 minutes of rugby, that is $5 a minute... could you spare another dollar for that extra 30 seconds of entertainment?"

The cost of the fine will not be confirmed until Friday, but pitch invasion carries a maximum $5000 fine.

Any extra that is donated will be given to the Boots for Grassroots charity, which provides young underprivileged Kiwis with their first pair of rugby boots.

The page promises to keep those who donated up-to-date with court proceedings.
