New Zealand has been ranked one of the most generous countries in the world, ahead of the US and the UK.
New Zealand took fourth spot in the 'World Kindness Survey", conducted as part of Charities Aid Foundation's 2017 World Giving Index.
The index rates 140 countries in three categories - helping a stranger, donating money, and volunteering time - and south-east Asian nation Myanmar came out ontop.
According to the research, an impressive 91 percent of Myanmar residents gave money to charity in the past year, while 53 percent said they had helped a stranger, and more than half the population claimed they had volunteered.
At least we beat Australia.
