Police in Gore have launched an investigation after a kitten was found badly burned.
The kitten, called Haezel, was burned around her face and body at an address on Sword Street on Tuesday.
Haezel is now back at home with her family and is expected to make a full recovery.
Police are urging anyone who saw something to come forward.
In a statement they said they don't tolerate cruelty to animals and are taking the matter very seriously.
