A man has been arrested over the December stabbing of a 19-year-old on an Auckland street filled with families looking at Christmas lights.
The 19-year-old was stabbed at about 10.15pm on December 8 on Franklin Road in Ponsonby, police say.
A 35-year-old west Auckland man has now been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and assault.
He will appear in the Auckland District Court on Monday.
During the festive season, families pack Franklin Road each night to look at the Christmas light displays decorating the houses.
