A truck carrying one thousand litres of human waste has gone bottoms up in Pukekohe, sending poo flowing down the street.
The vehicle crashed to the ground on Wednesday morning at around 9am after the weight of the load shifted, leaving a pungent smell on Gun Club Rd.
"Unfortunately shit happens," Dana Hill from the Pukekohe road policing team told Stuff.
Firefighters hosed down the road and sprinkled sand on top to stop cars slipping on the waste that remained.
The 28-year-old driver was not injured.
