The problem of New Zealand being excluded from maps is getting some major publicity, with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and comedian Rhys Darby getting behind the cause.
The pair stars in a hilarious video as part of a Tourism New Zealand campaign to push Aotearoa to key markets, like the United States, United Kingdom and Australia.
But the issue is by no means new. The Tumblr page 'World Maps Without New Zealand', Reddit thread 'Maps without New Zealand on them' have long been shining the light on the missing map problem.
A glance at either website will reveal there are countless people with tattoos of maps that exclude New Zealand, as well as jewellery, trinkets and traditional maps - all with one glaring omission.
Here are some irking examples where New Zealand is missing.
