The man accused of murdering Dunedin teenager Amber-Rose Rush has been named as Venod Skantha.
Skantha, a 30-year-old doctor from Dunedin, is accused of murdering Ms Rush,16, who was found dead at the Clerminston Ave property on February 3.
Skantha had been granted interim suppression of his name and occupation, which has since lapsed.
His defence appealed to the Court of Appeal to have suppression continued. His case was dismissed in a judgment released on Monday, Stuff reports.
Skantha is also charged with four counts of threatening to kill others. Police say Skantha and Ms Rush were known to each other.
A trial has been set for March 2019.
