South Canterbury Museum in Timaru is an intriguing place full of heritage, artefacts and history. There's also a surprising secret lurking behind the scenes, the staff are all amazing dancers.
When a worldwide museum dance-off launched earlier this year, they knew their time had come.
Enlisting the help of the local Timaru community, they pitted their moves against the best on the planet.
The South Canterbury Museum staff got 53,359 votes of the 142,000 cast worldwide, against other teams from Australia, Canada, the UK, the US, and Mexico.
With completion heating up they went to the nation for votes, and this week they were announced the overall winners.
