Travellers are being off-loaded from their planes and flights are being delayed after a security breach at Auckland Airport.
Passengers are being re-screened through security before being allowed to re-board.
An Auckland Airport spokesperson said the breach occurred after a man jumped over a barrier and skipped security. He entered the departure lounge through the arrival doors, rather than the departure gates.
Auckland Airport confirmed the breach on their Twitter account on Thursday morning.
"There has been a security breach at the domestic terminal and Aviation Security is re-screening passengers. Thank you for all your patience."
"Aviation Security has started re-screening passengers but there will be flight delays. Please check with your airline to see whether your flight is affected. We appreciate your patience," the airport said.
