The Kim Richmond murder trial will resume on Tuesday morning in the Hamilton High Court.
Long term partner, Cory Jefferies, is charged with murder over the death of the 42-year-old.
The mother of three disappeared from her Arohena home in 2016, before her body was recovered from a ute at the bottom of Lake Arapuni nearly a year later.
Jefferies was arrested days after the body was discovered, outside the funeral home where her body lay.
A jury was selected in the Hamilton High Court on Monday, made up of seven women and five men. The trial is expected to last a week.
Jefferies has pleaded not guilty.
