Christchurch man Michael Croucher missing after fire at his home

Police in Christchurch are searching for a man who went missing after a fire at his home. 

Michael Croucher, 40, was last seen by a neighbour at his Tilford St, Woolston home at around 5pm on Wednesday. 

There was a fire at the man's home on Wednesday night, according to police. However, the authorities say there is no evidence to suggest he was caught up or injured in the fire. 

Mr Croucher's family is concerned for his welfare, and want to know that he's safe.

He's said to be an avid cyclist and is known to use a selection of three bikes in and around Woolston.

Canterbury Police are urging with information on Mr Croucher's whereabouts to contact them by calling (03) 363 7400.
