A British daddy blogger has praised Clarke Gayford as the "most important" stay-at-home dad in the world.
Mr Gayford's taking a break from his TV career to raise his daughter Neve, whose mum just happens to be Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
Her pregnancy and birth made headlines around the world, as just the second elected leader in modern times to have given birth while in office.
"Having taken six weeks maternity leave, Arden has returned to work, leaving Gayford - that's right, a man! - at home to keep things running on the domestic front," John Adams wrote in a column for The Telegraph.
"I cannot tell you how relieved it makes me feel to be able to write that previous sentence. Here we have the female leader of a modern, democratic country saying: 'Of course dad is capable of doing the lion's share of childcare.'"
He said Mr Gayford will be "carrying a torch for stay-at-home dads around the world" because unlike other celebrity dads - like David Beckham - Mr Gayford is married to a politician.
"When the leader of a country is female and her male partner stays at home to hold the baby, that's a message that can't be ignored. Policy makers, employers and other dads had better take note."
Mr Adams, who runs the dadbloguk.com website, hopes Ms Ardern realises what a catch her hubby is.
"I have no doubt that Ardern is a great woman. She is, after all Prime Minister.
"I just hope she and others appreciate that sometimes, just sometimes, there is a great man behind an equally great woman."
Ms Ardern returned to work on Thursday after six weeks of maternity leave. National MP Judith Collins told The AM Show on Friday she should take a day off whenever she needed it.
"We understand tiredness, we understand how hard it is to juggle everything together. Being a parent is a huge job."
