The group allegedly stole a Volkswagen on Saturday morning from a Fairfield address and then drove the car to Morrinsville.

Four of the youths then attempted to rob a dairy - one allegedly armed with a knife - but didn't take anything, and no one was injured.
Shortly after the attempted robbery, they filled the stolen car up at a Mobil petrol station on the corner of State Highway 1 and Karapiro Rd and drove off without paying.
Victims of the incidents notified police, and a unit spotted the stolen car on SH1 near Hicks Rd and attempted to stop it.
After initially failing to stop for police, they eventually stopped on the Waikato Expressway north of Duncan Rd and were arrested.
All five will appear in Hamilton Youth Court on Monday, August 6.
