A new study has found that boys attending single sex schools tend to do better than their co-ed counterparts.
However a Wellington boys' school principal isn't convinced by Victoria University's findings.

Scots College headmaster Graeme Yule says girls aren't the problem, and that the genders need to develop the ability to interact with each other.
"It's becoming increasingly important that both young men and young women are able to communicate and understand one another as they transition out of school," he told RadioLIVE.
He says there are many factors involved in the gap between single sex students and co-ed students, and the study should be taken with a grain of salt.
"I think in many ways when you do that comparison you're simply comparing apples with oranges."
Researchers should look into why girls outperform boys at a higher level, he says.
Female students will join Scots College's all-male roll from 2020.
