Police have arrested three men after executing search warrants at Nelson addresses linked to the Mongrel Mob.
The arrests were made in relation to an altercation between gang members that occured on September 1, police say.
One male received minor injuries during the dispute.
"Police have and will continue to take a firm line on gang violence and intimidation within the community," Detective Sergeant Lex Bruning says.
"We want to reassure members of the public that any behaviour which adversely impacts on the community will be actively policed."
The arrests come as locals try to reduce the gang's presence within the Tasman District.
The men have been jointly charged for assault with the intent to injure and are due to appear in the Nelson District Court September 18.
