Melbourne architecture company Woods Bagot has won an international competition to design a new high-rise in Auckland.
But unlike London's Gherkin or Boston's The Sponge, Auckland's soon to be constructed building doesn't have a name yet.

Newshub has come up with a few of its own for the 180 metre hotel/apartment block planned for construction on Federal St.
The Cheese Grater
It's triangular, filled with little square holes and as one Facebook commenter brilliantly put it, "making Auckland grate again".
One slight hiccup with this one though - there's already a building with the same moniker in London at 122 Leadenhall St.
The Lipstick
The gold colour and shape means several people on the Newshub team have compared the building to lipstick.
Perhaps like an Yves Saint Laurent?
The Toblerone
The design's triangular shape certainly resembles the duty free favourite's packaging. Auckland can't claim the shape was inspired by the Matterhorn like many believe Toblerone was though.
Technically the makers of Toblerone can't claim any association with the Matterhorn anyway, family members of the chocolate's inventor say its shape was actually inspired by dancers.
Goldfinger
Pictures of the building show it shining in a bright gold colour so making a James Bond reference in naming it definitely wouldn't be a big reach.
The Perfume Bottle
Again, the tower's shape and shine has led to people saying it resembles a large beauty product. Perhaps that's what the architects were thinking about when they designed it?
