Winter may be officially over but heavy snow is coming to parts of the South Island as MetService predicts another belt of bad weather is about to hit.
MetService says mild conditions start the week off well but it changes quickly with "disruptive" weather coming on Tuesday.
A front will make its way up the country bringing strong winds and heavy rain for majority of regions.

Metservice is warning residents in Canterbury, Otago and Southland to brace themselves for the cold snap, as heavy snow is expected to fall to 600 metres.
"A weather system such as this has the potential to be quite disruptive," Metservice Meteorologist Tui McInnes warns.
Strong winds are expected to lash exposed places in the South Island in the middle of the week, before heading north across the North Island on Friday.
It will be a wet week for much of the country with heavy rain and strong winds expected for the western and eastern coasts of the South Island and the upper North Island.
"With the school holidays drawing to a close, it is very important to stay up to date with the latest information," Ms McInnes says.
A number of weather warnings are expected to be put in place in the coming days.
Last month parts of central Otago were blanketed with heavy snow that saw flights cancelled and left residents in Queenstown, Frankton and Arrowtown without power.
