Gull New Zealand has wrapped up an early Christmas present for parade organisers by supporting the parade for the next two years.
The announcement follows Auckland Council's withdrawal from sponsorship of the event.
Dave Bodger, Gull general manager says: "Leaving an iconic event like this in jeopardy is Grinch-like and quite simply not on.
"We had a quick chat this morning and the Gull team all agreed we needed to help, so we did.
"It's Christmas after all."
Auckland Children's Chistmas Parade Trust's Michael Barnet said he is "absolutely floored, hugely thankful and relieved".
"We can now have an amazing time next Sunday knowing we have secure funding going forward. Many thanks to the Gull team for such a quick decision and making the call."
