A close friend of a Kiwi fighting for his life in a Fijian hospital is asking for help in getting the father back home.
Jarred Thompson was admitted to Lautoko Hospital on Thursday, suffering from pressure on his brain which Fijian doctors believe requires palliative care.

Mr Thompson was in Fiji with his friend Thomas Brook on a one-month holiday - a holiday which had been previously postponed because Mr Thompson had been diagnosed with testicular cancer late last year, reports NZME.
However, after Mr Thompson went into remission, the pair embarked on their holiday, which included attending Three Angels Missionary College, where Mr Thompson wanted to learn how to improve his health.
But a severe headache while away on the trip quickly became life-threatening after the father was found unresponsive.
"He couldn't walk, he couldn't open his eyes and he was ill... I knew I couldn't get him on a plane, so I rushed him to the hospital straight away - which was exactly what I was trying to avoid, but I was left with no choice," Mr Brook told NZME.
The treatment Mr Thompson was getting in Fiji wasn't going to be enough, and doctors recommended they travel back home - but that costs $27,000.
A Give A Little page has been set up to help to man, who can hear others around him but cannot respond.
"It must be torture. He constantly kicks and tapes to let us know he's still here," says the page.
Nearly $22,000 has been raised so far.
