A New Zealand man stranded in Fiji and in need of palliative care for his cancer has now raised enough money to be flown home.
Kiwi man Jarred Thompson was admitted to Lautoka Hospital on Thursday, suffering pressure on his brain, which Fijian doctors said they could not treat.

A Givealittle campaign was set up last Monday morning by his friend Thomas Brook, with a goal to raise $27,000 to fly Mr Thompson home.
The campaign has so far raised more than $33,000 from 690 donors.
NZME reported that Mr Thompson was diagnosed with testicular cancer a year ago, and this had spread to his lungs and liver.
He collapsed while on holiday in Fiji, vomiting before losing his speech and being taken to hospital.
Mr Brook said Mr Thompson could not speak, but is kicking and tapping to show he is still alive.
A video posted on the Givealittle page on Saturday showed Mr Thompson pulling a shaka with Mr Brook saying he was "a real trooper".
Stuff reported Jarred was expected to arrive back in New Zealand on Tuesday.
