James Lemon has a few tattoos.
The name of his best friend adorns his pelvis, the beginnings of a fruit salad sits on his leg, and most importantly, a portrait of Kim Hill decorates his forearm.
And on a recent visit home to Wellington, Mr Lemon bumped into his broadcasting idol.

Now he's an artist living in Australia, but he said growing up in New Zealand he listened to Ms Hill every Saturday with his parents.
"She was a staple growing up. She was just always there when we were doing stuff with the radio on in the background," he told Newshub. "She's steely and intelligent."
Mr Lemon was out with friends in central Wellington in early December when one of his friends called his name from the other side of the street.
"One of my mates was yelling at me, so I turned around and there was this elegant woman, dressed in all black. I just thought, 'Oh my God, that's Kim Hill'."
Mr Lemon introduced himself, his friends making him show Ms Hill - and the group she was with - her tattoo likeness.
"It was very funny. She just seemed a bit baffled by it," he said.
The particular image Mr Lemon chose was one of Ms Hill resting her head on her hand, ring finger outstretched.
But the tattoo version has been slightly doctored so that it looks like she's pulling the middle finger.
Mr Lemon said there was "no way" he could regret the tattoo, despite having to explain who she is when he's in Australia.
"Everybody knows who she is now. But I did get a lot of questions at the start: 'Who's the lady on your arm?'"
Mr Lemon also has her name, a smaller tribute he got in 2016, which he recognises now as a gateway tattoo to the full profile he got in September.
He said the tattoo shocked her, but she and her friends all had a laugh about it.
"I hope you don't expect this to be reciprocated," she told him.
