A section of the Waikato Expressway in northern Hamilton has been reopened after police closed it to respond to an incident on an overbridge.
The lanes headed north were closed at the Avalon Dr/SH1 on-ramp, and lanes headed south were closed at the SH1/SH39 Koura Dr off-ramp.
There is significant traffic in the area and police are warning motorists to expect continued delays. People travelling on the motorway are asked to be patient and considerate of fellow motorists.
