A North Shore woman has issued a plea for sightings of her teenage daughter who hasn't been seen since Friday.
Tracey Stewart posted an emotional message to Facebook on Sunday evening about her daughter Mia. The 15-year-old, who lives on Auckland's Hibiscus Coast, has been missing all weekend.
Ms Stewart says Mia hasn't used her phone or the internet since the early hours of Saturday morning, and had spent the evening with "people she doesn't know very well".
"This is by far the hardest thing I have had to write and we do not want or need anyone's judgement, gossip or speculation," Ms Stewart wrote.
"People that know us well know that Mia has been battling with depression and anxiety for the past year and things have been tough for her.
"We are in despair not knowing where she is and if she is okay, we are absolutely sick with worry."
She's urging anyone who saw Mia over the weekend or has any idea where she might be to call her or the police under the case number 181215/1659.
The post has been flooded with people sending their love and thoughts to the family.
Police told Newshub they'd received a missing person's report about Mia on Saturday morning. They say there are concerns for the teenager's welfare.
