A 70-year-old man was taken to Middlemore hospital on Monday with serious injuries after being trapped underneath his quad bike.
Dramatic photos show emergency crews responding to the call-out, the man's leg visible underneath the flipped vehicle.

Westpac's rescue helicopter was called to Mauku, west of Pukekohe, where the man was found approximately 100 metres down a steep paddock.
The injured man had managed to get his phone out of his pocket and call for help.
He was carried up the hill to a waiting helicopter which took him to Middlemore hospital in a serious condition.
