A major car enthusiast event is set to take over Lower Hutt on Sunday.
Hardpark, being held at the Riverbank carpark, gives drivers the opportunity to show off their vehicles -including on a skidpad.
Organsier Falgoon Patel says he is expecting a large turnout.
"We've had 7000 over the last three years. Cars-wise, we've had just over 1000. We're looking for a repeat this year as well."
Drivers as far north as Taranaki are expected to attend.
Mr Patel says it always aims to give back to the community.
"It's $5 to enter the event and a gold coin donation if you're a passenger. We put that money usually towards Wellington Free Ambulance."
Mr Patel says it is about getting the drivers off the street and into a safe environment.
"We've brought that into a legal environment, from the parking side to the controlled convoy… to the skidpad. We've hired a skidpad, and people can skid to their heart's content."

Police are urging drivers to have a good time and call out any antisocial or illegal behaviour.
"If you drive, make sure you stay away from alcohol, and take extra care so everyone gets home safely," a spokesperson said.
