A survey shows more than 90 percent of Kiwis are concerned about the security of their personal data.
But few are using security tools like two-factor authentication.
"Two-factor authentication is a great way of protecting yourself online," Internet NZ outreach and engagement director Andrew Cushen told The AM Show on Thursday.
"It's a second bit of information - a second factor. You enter in your password, then say on your phone or something else, there's another code that you have to enter - that makes sure that it's really you."
