A woman has been arrested after an attack on an elderly Northland woman that disgusted the community.
On January 9 the 92-year-old was attacked in her Kawakawa home by two young female offenders. Police say they knocked on the woman's door and asked for fuel before assaulting her, stealing property and fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

The crime was met with a wave of outrage from locals, prompting police to issue a warning against vigilante justice.
On Monday it was announced a 24-year-old woman will be charged with aggravated burglary and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
She will appear in the Kaikohe District Court on Tuesday, facing six other burglary charges in relation to previous incidents.
Detective Senior Sergeant Johnston has thanked the community for providing valuable information about the crime.
He says police are investigating the identity of the second offender and enquiries are ongoing.
