An 82-year-old New Zealand man has married his high school sweetheart after they were separated for 65 years.
Jean and Ron Melrose dated in the early 1950s when they were both teenagers in Kilsyth, Scotland.
But they split up when Ron was 16 after his family moved to New Zealand. Jean later moved to Canada. They both found new relationships, got married, and had children.

"I sometimes thought of him over the years and wondered where he was and what he was doing," Jean told Ponoka News.
The couple were brought together again in 2015 when they were both single again and Jean had a dream that she had to contact Ron.
But all she knew was his name - and that he lived in New Zealand.
"I did not know where he was or if he was alive or dead or what his circumstances were. I just knew that I had to find him," she told Ponoka News.
Using Facebook her daughter was able to find and contact Ron's granddaughter, who put Jean back in touch with Ron.
Then came the moment she had been waiting for. She flew to New Zealand and after decades apart they were reunited.
Their decades-old love proved to have withstood the test of time and the couple were married last week in Canada.
"I'm thankful that we found true love after a lifetime of experiences," Jean says.
"Love is more important than anything else in the world."
