Police want to speak to a woman in relation to a fire near the Nelson CBD that took resources away from the Pigeon Valley blaze.
Helicopters were diverted from fighting the large Pigeon Valley fire, when the Iwa Rd/Walters Bluff blaze struck early on the afternoon of February 8.
The woman was the driver of a blue hatchback car in the vicinity of the Nelson School of Music on the corner of Collingwood St between 4:15pm and 4:30pm.

She was seen stopping to pick up an item that was on the side of the road directly adjacent to the roundabout.
Police still want to speak to a man who was seen eating while sitting beside a bicycle at around 2:30pm when the fire started.
