Police have confirmed that two people were injured in a Mangere Bridge shooting early on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to an address on the corner of Waterfront Rd and Coronation Rd in Mangere at 5:40am.
A witness told Newshub they heard two shots being fired before seeing a crowd scatter on Coronation Rd.
Police say one person suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Auckland Hospital in a serious condition. Reports say he is now in a stable condition.
Another man, located nearby, suffered moderate facial injuries, and police have confirmed that these occurred during the same incident.
Cordons are in place on Coronation Rd while police examine the scene.
Police are aware of the offender's vehicle registration number, and are making inquiries.
They are still trying to find the offender, and ask anyone with information to contact them.
