Mosques will open their doors to the public on Friday one week after a terror attack in Christchurch.
NZ Muslim Association president Ikhlaq Kashkari told The AM Show visitors are welcome from after 5pm, and he has one thing he wants them to think about while they're there.
"I want them to think about togetherness, overcoming the hate, trying to do whatever they can, whatever's in their power to overcome... messages that the fringe element spread, the hate, and overshadow it.
"Flood it with love, compassion."
