A 46-year-old man has been charged over a truck crash which killed three road workers near Whakatane in February.
The crash, which occurred on February 26 on State Highway 2 near Pikowai, involved four trucks, with three doing road maintenance at the time.

Dudley Sole Raroa, 55, David Reginald Te Wira Eparaima, 55, and Haki Graham Hiha, 40, were killed in the accident.
Following the incident, FIRST Union said they were horrified by the deaths.
Police initially were interested in speaking to a paraglider who was above the accident at the time.
The 46-year-old will appear in the Whakatane District Court on March 26.
Police expressed their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and thanked the public for their help during the investigation.
