A man has died after the car he was in left the road and went into water near Auckland Airport on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to Tom Pearce Dr and Puhinui Rd just after 1 am.

The man was taken to Middlemore Hospital in a critical condition but later passed away from his injuries.
Police acknowledged members of the public who were first on the scene and put aside their personal safety to try and assist the man.
The Counties Manukau Serious Crash unit attended and have commenced an investigation.
Travel wasn't affected by the incident, with State Highway 20-B remaining open.
