A man accused of murdering a 52-year-old woman in Karori, Wellington, has now been charged with sexually violating her 12-year-old daughter.
The 30-year-old was originally charged with one count of murder. On Tuesday nine new charges were laid against the man in the Wellington District Court.

Those charges include two of sexually violating a 12-year-old girl, wounding her with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, impeding the girl's breathing and doing an indecent act on her.
At the High Court, Justice Simon France suppressed the defendant's name pending a hearing.
Both the name of the 52-year-old mother and her 12-year-old daughter are also suppressed.
The man will appear again in court on June 28.
