Police are treating a man's death overnight as a homicide.
They were called to a property in Torbay, north Auckland, shortly before midnight. There they found a critically injured man.
Ambulance staff were unable to revive him, and he died at the scene.
A 26-year-old will appear in court on Saturday, charged with the man's murder.
Police say they're not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.
