An Auckland Council staff member is in hospital with moderate injuries after being hit by an electric scooter in - less than 12 hours after a man died in an incident involving a Lime scooter.
A St John spokeswoman confirmed to Newshub an ambulance was called to the latest incident in Fanshawe St in central Auckland, about 8:50am on Tuesday.
It's the same road where a man died in an incident on Monday night - believed to be the first Lime Scooter death in New Zealand.
Auckland Council regulatory services director Craig Hobbs said the injured woman was a council staff member.
"I have visisted her in hospital where she is being well looked after and we are hoping she will make a quick recovery," he told Newshub.

"We have no further comment to make at this stage."
Police did not attend the latest incident, a spokesman told Newshub.
The victim, Debra Christensen, was hit by the scooter when she got off the bus. She was knocked out "cold", NZME reports.
"Her head was under the wheel of a bus, that's how bad it was," husband Paul Charman said.

"This shouldn't be happening," he told NZME.
Meanwhile, Monday night's incident took place shortly before 10pm on a footpath near the intersection of Fanshawe St and Bradnor Ln, police say.
"Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time," a Lime spokesperson said. "We have been in contact with local authorities and continue to assist however possible."
