A naked man spotted on a Wellington street has spurred a large search by police who are yet to locate him.
Police received a report of the man standing at the entrance of Prince of Wales Park on Connaught Terrace on Monday afternoon.
After receiving the report, "extensive patrols" were carried out but the man was unable to be located, a police spokesperson told Newshub on Tuesday

Less than an hour later, there was another alleged sighting of the man on secluded Bell Road.
Two 12-year-old girls reportedly saw a naked man standing behind them while they were walking home from school, reports Stuff.
Police did not confirm the Bell Road sighting.
Enquiries are continuing to identify the man, and anyone who spots him is asked to call 111.
