A courageous Christchurch dairy owner fought off an armed robber, stopping the offender from stealing anything from his store.
On Monday morning about 7:35am, a man entered a store on Kidbrooke St in the suburb of Bromley with a firearm.
The culprit assaulted the dairy owner, who was taken to hospital but is said to be stable.
Video footage released by police on Tuesday shows the robber entering the store, before the dairy owner bravely tackles him.

The offender was wearing black pants, a black hoodie, white sneakers and a camouflage balaclava, police said.
