Many Aucklanders spent part of Saturday night in the dark after a power outage hit central suburbs.
Vector confirmed that power was out in Pt Chevalier and Westmere at about 7:30pm, with no known restoration time. However, after roughly an hour without power, some have reported their lights are coming back on.
Pictures have also emerged on Twitter of Kiwis spending their evening using candlelight.
