Meet Jay. He's just one of the many illegal cannabis growers and dealers across the country, and he's on a mission - to restore tinnie sizes for the good of New Zealand.
The classic Kiwi tinnie is supposed to be a gram wrapped in tinfoil, and sold for $20 out of drug-houses. But they're increasingly under threat.

With his identity protected by a camouflage cap and a facemask, Jay explains to Newshub's national correspondent Patrick Gower why things have gone wrong for the humble tinnie.
"There's no money these days in selling anything smaller than ounces," he says.
"There's your tinnie shops around and that, but they're in decline. And that's because the prices of marijuana are going through the roof due to the fact that there's less growers out there due to other drugs and more crime."
As a result, Jay says people are getting ripped off by the cannabis black market. There's no standardisation of tinnie sizes and they keep shrinking.
"This is what you're getting left with. A couple of buds and a bit of f**king shakey shit," he says, showing Gower the results.
"The prices stayed the same. It's the size that's dropped down. This is the state of cannabis these days and it's an ugly state of affairs. This is what I'm out to try to change. I'm changing this for the better of New Zealand."
The fact that what he's doing is illegal won't deter Jay from his mission.
"I'm going to do this whether anyone likes it or not. It just needs to be more accepted," he says.
"This isn't low-class citizen shit. Every Joe Blogg that you know out there that's paying their taxes - you might not know that they're smoking this stuff, but chances are they're f**king are."
