A serious crash has blocked Auckland's Northwestern Motorway on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called at around 4:45pm to the crash, which occurred in the westbound lanes between Waterview and Patiki Road.
"Initial reports suggest one person is seriously injured," a police spokesperson says.
"Two westbound lanes are currently blocked."
The NZTA says SH16 has been reduced to just one lane north just after the Great North Road northbound on-ramp.
"Please delay your journey west from the CBD or seek an alternative route until additional lanes can be opened," the NZTA tweeted.
