Inspector Mark Fergus says formal identification processes are yet to be carried out on the second body, but police believe it is a missing man they have been searching for in recent days.
Police Land Search and Rescue staff, the Coastguard's Air Patrol and the Eagle helicopter had been searching for the second man since Sunday morning after a member of the public reported seeing the body by the water. Attempts to recover the body were hindered by rough conditions.
Police are helping to support the missing man's family.
Both matters will be referred to the coroner and police are unable to comment further at this time.
