A man armed with a screwdriver has robbed a pub in Christchurch.
The incident took place at the Craic Irish Bar on Riccarton Rd about 10:30am on Thursday.
No-one was injured during the robbery.
The man demanded cash from staff before leaving with an undisclosed sum of money.
In a police statement, the man is described as being caucasian, of a skinny build, and between 40 and 50-years-old.
He has some facial scarring, and was wearing a light grey coloured sweatshirt, with horizontal stripes across the chest and arms.
Police said anyone with information is urged to contact 105, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
