This weekend is going to be hot for most the country as typical unsettled spring weather moves away.
Temperatures could climb into the late 20s for eastern and inland areas, while some places in Marlborough and Canterbury could even reach 30C on Sunday, national forecaster MetService says.

- Unseasonal South Island snowfall interrupts warm spring weather
Rise in temperatures are a result of a "large high" developing in the Tasman Sea, bringing a fine weekend to much of the country.
Christchurch is expected to hit 30C on Sunday, while Dunedin will be 24C. Further north, Auckland will be 20C and Wellington 21C.
Forecaster WeatherWatch agrees with MetService's predictions, saying the South Island appears to be the hottest.
"Southland, which has another cold and sometimes wintry week on the way, has a dramatic change this weekend with sunny weather and highs in the late 20s," WeatherWatch said in a statement.
NIWA's weather forecasting arm says Australia's warmth and dryness may contribute to spells of heat in New Zealand in early November.
