Five people have been trapped in a car following a head-on collision with a truck near Rotorua.
The crash was reported at 5:13pm on State Highway 30, Lake Rotoma.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) are trying to get the people out of the car.
According to FENZ, injuries are reported to range from status two (serious to moderate) to status four, (not a threat).
Three fire crews are currently on the scene, FENZ shift manager Craig Dally told Newshub.
The road is closed and those travelling south to Rotorua are advised to take the Tauranga route.
