A former teacher who admitted having sex with two minors in the back seat of her car has been sentenced in Blenheim.
The woman was jailed two years, six months in the Blenheim District Court on Tuesday. She earlier pleaded guilty to seven charges of sexual connection with two boys aged 15.
She also admitted exposing one of the boys to indecent material including naked photographs.
Judge Tony Zohrab says there was grooming and premeditation over a long period of time.
He gave discounts for guilty pleas, good character, remorse, offers of reparation and restorative justice, and her mental health.
Aggravating features included the age differences, the frequency of offending, the fact that there were two victims, and the fact she was a teacher.
