Invercargill police have launched a homicide inquiry after a man's body was discovered at a house on Sunday night.
Officers were called to a property on Oreti St where they made the discovery around 8:40pm.
Cordons are in place as investigators begin their enquiries.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man is set to appear in a Christchurch District court, charged with murdering a woman on the West Coast and injuring another man.
The deceased woman is believed to be 41-year-old Barbara Ann Quinn, who was reported missing on Friday.
