Counties Manukau Health will address media and offer a clinical perspective on the Whakaari/White Island tragedy.
Chief medical officer Dr Peter Watson, clinical director of surgery Dr John Kenealy and Dr Vanessa Thornton, the clinical director of Middlemore Emergency Department, will answer questions about the injuries.
Forty-seven people were on or around the island when it erupted on Monday. Of those, six are confirmed dead, 30 are in hospital, three have been discharged while eight are missing and presumed dead.
